As I struggle to 'enjoy' this one class, signs of hope shine when a few ayahs came to mind after reading this:

"When all the people who speak a language die, the language dies with them...Many disappeared as a direct result of the massacre of the Aboriginal people, or their death from diseases introduced by Eurpeans [me: shocked!]..." Janet Holmes.

You can probably predict what ayahs are relevant here...

Surat Maryam, 98 "وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هَلْ تُحِسُّ مِنْهُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ أَوْ تَسْمَعُ لَهُمْ رِكْزًا "
